About Chicago Prime Concrete
Chicago Prime Concrete is a referral service for homeowners planning concrete work in Chicago and a handful of suburbs. It publishes sourced price and permit information and forwards each quote request to our vetted local concrete pro, an independent local business.
How requests are handled
A form request is forwarded to our vetted concrete pro, a single independent company that passes the checks listed below, and the follow-up comes from that company. Where no such company has joined yet, requests wait on file and go nowhere else. Participating companies pay for the requests they receive. This service doesn't inspect sites, price jobs, arrange or oversee work, or place concrete.
How the pages are researched and checked
Each page starts from city, state and contractor sources. A separate automated check then matches every figure and rule to a quote from the page it cites, and Patrik Lorentzson reads the result before publication. Price rows name their sources and the check date, as the Chicago concrete price guide shows. Spotted an error? Write to the email address in the footer and the page will be fixed.
How we vet the company we connect you with
- Holds the licence or registration the job requires: a current City of Chicago general contractor license for work inside the city, and the suburb registration where a suburb asks for one (Joliet, Aurora and Des Plaines all do)
- Has its paperwork in place, including a current general liability insurance certificate
- Passes an interview with us about its home driveway, patio and garage floor work, so we know we want to recommend it
